Not every candle belongs in every room. The scent that makes a home bar feel moody and inviting can be too heavy for a bedroom, and the light, airy candle that's perfect for an entryway can get lost in a big living room. Our four hand-poured soy candles were named with a specific mood in mind, so before you pick one, it helps to know what each one is going for.
Why soy wax first
Every candle in this collection is hand-poured in small batches from a premium natural soy wax blend, with a clean-burning cotton wick. Soy wax burns cooler and slower than paraffin, which means less soot, a cleaner scent throw, and more hours of burn time per candle — practical reasons on top of the fact that it's a renewable, plant-based wax.
Matching the candle to the room
Secret Society — for the room where people linger
The name says it all: this one is built for spaces that feel a little intimate and a little exclusive. Think a home bar, a den, a reading nook, or wherever your evening conversations tend to happen. It's a rich, gourmand fragrance meant to be noticed, so it works best in smaller, more enclosed rooms rather than open-concept spaces.
Amber Moon — for winding down
Amber Moon leans into a warm, amber-toned profile that fits naturally into bedrooms and living rooms once the sun goes down. It's the one we'd reach for on a slow evening — lights low, everything a little quieter.
Sacred Nectar — for the room where people gather
Sacred Nectar's sweeter, richer profile makes it a natural fit for kitchens and dining spaces — anywhere food, guests, and conversation come together. It's also a strong gift pick for anyone who loves to host.
Safe Passage — for transitional spaces
True to its name, Safe Passage feels right in the in-between rooms — entryways, hallways, bathrooms — spaces you pass through rather than settle into. It's a lighter touch, meant to greet you rather than fill a whole room.
Getting the most out of any soy candle
A few habits make a real difference in how long these last and how well they perform:
- On the first burn, let the wax melt all the way to the edges of the container. This prevents "tunneling," where the candle burns a narrow well down the middle and wastes wax along the sides.
- Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before every burn. A longer wick means a bigger flame, more soot, and a faster burn.
- Keep burns to 3–4 hours at a time, and let the wax fully cool before relighting.
All four candles are hand-poured in small batches and packaged with eco-friendly materials, and they're all part of our Dream Collection — take a look at the full set if you're deciding between a few.
